Local author collects stories, publishes book about special keepsakes

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - A local author collected short stories about keepsakes, mementos, heirlooms, and souvenirs, and put them all together to create a book. Amber Lanier Nagle stopped by 41 Today to tell us about Project Keepsake.

There are 55 short stories in the collection. The keepsakes are objects that people keep to remember things, such as a pocket knife, a Bible, a cake pan, or a quilt.

Several local people contributed short stories to Nagle's collection.

Nagle says the stories all start with a keepsake, but then the writers explore where the keepsake came from and why it is so special to them.

Nagle is hosting a book reading and signing event Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Nola Brantley Memorial Library located at 721 Watson Boulevard.
