There are 55 short stories in the collection. The keepsakes are objects that people keep to remember things, such as a pocket knife, a Bible, a cake pan, or a quilt.
Several local people contributed short stories to Nagle's collection.
Nagle says the stories all start with a keepsake, but then the writers explore where the keepsake came from and why it is so special to them.
Nagle is hosting a book reading and signing event Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Nola Brantley Memorial Library located at 721 Watson Boulevard.
