Knights football prepares for new season

The Middle Georgia State College Knights club football team will kickoff the season with two scrimmages on August 30 at noon against Southeastern University out of Lakeland, Fla.
COCHRAN, Ga. (MGSC ATHLETICS RELEASE) - The Middle Georgia State College Knights club football team will kickoff the season with two scrimmages on August 30 at noon against Southeastern University out of Lakeland, Florida. The game will be at Mack Tharpe Stadium in Moultrie.  The SEU Fire are entering their first season and the exhibition scrimmage will not be broadcast.

The Knights' second scrimmage will be held that night in Cochran at NeSmith Field (the soccer field on campus) and is free to the public. The gates will open at 6 p.m. and admission is free.  Kick off is at 7. The game will be an inter-squad matchup: purple versus white. The MGA marching band and cheerleaders will perform at the game and concessions will be available.

The Knights kickoff the regular season with a matchup versus Columbus State University at Bonaire Middle School Stadium on Sunday, September 7 at 2 p.m. Admission for regular season games will be free to all MGA students, faculty, and staff while the cost is $5 for all others. Kids 10 and under are free with a paid adult.
