Handel stops in Macon, wants to bring financial stability to the country

U.S. Senate Republican Candidate Karen Handel stopped at Nu-Way to greet supporters.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - U.S. Senate Republican Candidate Karen Handel says she's looking forward to meeting as many people as she can, pushing for more votes ahead of next week's primary elections.

Handel's campaign bus drove into downtown Macon Wednesday.
She stopped at Nu-Way Weiners to get a chili dog and also greet supporters.

Handel says if she's elected, the first thing on her agenda is maintaining fiscal stability and taking advantage of the strong workforce in the state.

"That's why getting this economy really jump started makes the most sense. So that we do rewrite that tax code, so that we reduce that tax burden not just on large companies, but on small businesses," Handel said.

Handel thinks her track record for getting the job done as the Fulton County Commission Chair, and as the former Secretary of State is why she's the best person for the job.
