GC volleyball welcomes Brown as new assistant coach

The Georgia College volleyball program and head coach Gretchen Krumdieck are pleased to welcome Caroline Brown as the new assistant coach.
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. (GC ATHLETICS RELEASE) – The Georgia College volleyball program and head coach Gretchen Krumdieck are pleased to welcome Caroline Brown as the new assistant coach.

“I’m very excited to have Caroline at Georgia College,” said Krumdieck. “Her playing experience at Davidson College and leadership qualities are a perfect fit for our volleyball program. She is passionate and very driven to help this program move forward in the Peach Belt Conference.”

A recent graduate of Davidson College with a bachelor degree in Hispanic studies, Brown spent four years playing volleyball for Davidson. During her time on the team she was named to the All-Southern Conference Team in 2011, 2012, and 2013. At the end of the 2013 season she received recognition as Davidson’s Most Valuable Volleyball Player. Brown also served as a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) from 2011 to 2014.

Georgia College volleyball will open their season on the road at the Falcon Classic hosted by Pfeiffer University Sept. 5. Their first home game will be Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. against Flagler College.
