Early voting begins for July primary runoffs

Voters can head to the polls now until July 18th.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - Early voting for runoff elections kicked off on Monday.

Residents in Macon trickled into the Macon-Bibb Board of Elections office to cast their ballot for several different races including the state school superintendent race.

Board of elections supervisor, Jeanetta Watson, says in the past, numbers have been low for early voting, so she's urging everyone to get out to the polls.

"This is actually, generally, the time that voters would be coming out voting in the primary, however we are having a run-off now. There's just a couple of candidates on the ballot that are still important and we're still urging voters to come out and support the democratic and republican candidates that are on the ballot here in Bibb County," Watson said.

Early voting will continue until July 18th.
