Celebrate 4th of July during Perry's Independence Day parade and fireworks

You can't celebrate the 4th of July without fireworks! Darlene McLendon from the Perry Chamber of Commerce stopped by Daybreak to tell us about the Independence Day Parade and Freedom Fireworks show.

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - You can't celebrate the 4th of July without fireworks! Darlene McLendon from the Perry Chamber of Commerce stopped by Daybreak to tell us about the Independence Day Parade and Freedom Fireworks show happening this weekend.

The event is Sunday, June 29th. The parade starts at 6 p.m. on Washington Street. It will feature hometown heroes, marching bands, and much more. You can follow the parade along Main and Courtney Hodges to the Georgia National Fairgrounds.

The picnic style celebration starts at 7 p.m. There will be food vendors on site. Kids can play in the Kid Zone with arm bands costing $10. There will be live music by A2Z. A fireworks show will end the evening.
