Candidates set for Perry special election to fill council seat

Two candidates are running to fill the the empty District 2 seat.
PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - Two candidates are vying for the district 2 seat on Perry's city council.

The qualifying period ended on Wednesday.

Robert Jones, a youth minister, and Mia Geiger, who's self employed are running to fill the vacant seat after former city councilman Joe Posey stepped down this month for "personal family reasons."

Residents can decide who they want on council in the November elections.
