HAMPTON, Ga. (AMS RELEASE) – Atlanta Motor Speedway concluded its inaugural Motorama event Sunday following a tremendously successful two-day motoring festival. Next year’s event will take place April 18-19.

The Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama presented by Classic Collectors Insurance & zMAX Micro-lubricant featured two days of more than 1,000 show cars including rare vehicles such as a Duesenburg as well as cars from Truett Cathy’s private collection. Another component of Motorama was a vendor midway comprised of nearly 200 participants with some of the biggest automotive brands; a swap meet and one of the Southeast’s largest collector car auctions.

Motorama visitors were treated to numerous entertainment options centered around motorsports performance with activities on Saturday and Sunday including lawnmower racing and car-crushing demonstrations by BIGFOOT®, presented by Summit Racing Equipment.

“We would like to thank all show participants, vendors and visitors that attended the inaugural Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama," Atlanta Motor Speedway President & GM Ed Clark said. "Thanks to the efforts of so many, this year was a tremendous success and we are already underway with the building process for an even more successful event next year."

Summit Racing Equipment will return as the title sponsor of next year’s event, the Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama. Also returning as presenting sponsors include Classic Collectors Insurance as well as zMAX.
