41 Book Club Launches with "The Cuckoo's Calling"

Daybreak anchor Amanda Castro launched her new segment Thursday on the morning show called “41 Book Club.”

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Daybreak anchor Amanda Castro launched her new segment Thursday on the morning show called “41 Book Club.”

Castro said she loves to read and wanted to come up with a fun way to make reading more interactive. The idea is to pick a book every month and read it together. It will be like any other book club, but with a twist. Castro will post weekly blog updates on 41NBC.com that way the “41 Book Club” members can chat about the book while reading it.

Castro announced the first book is by her favorite author, but she hasn't read it yet: The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith, but most people know her as J.K. Rowling, the author of the popular Harry Potter series. It is about a super model's suicide, but her family refuses to believe she took her own life. The victim's brother goes to Detective Cormoran Strike to investigate and he gets caught up in the world of the rich and famous.

Be sure to watch Daybreak and check out Amanda's blog to stay connected with the “41 Book Club.” You can pick up the book from your closest book store or the library and join us.
