10-year-old boy critically injured in Warner Robins car accident

Warner Robins police are investigating a car accident that left a young boy critically injured.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Warner Robins police are investigating a car accident that left a young boy critically injured.

According to a news release, it happened Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of Carl Vinson Parkway and Lazy H Lane. Police say 30-year-old Yolanda Turner stopped at the intersections and that's when a Ford F-350 driven by 78-year-old James McMillan hit her from behind.

Officers say that crash caused Turner to hit the care that was stopped in front of her.

Turner was taken to the hospital and is listed in stable condition. A 10-year-old boy in Turner's car was also taken to the hospital and he is listed in critical condition.

The WRPD traffic division is investigating the collision.
