DAYTONA BEACH, FL — With a weather forecast calling for more rain throughout the day, NASCAR and Greenville (S.C.) Pickens Speedway have postponed the Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 140 scheduled for Monday evening. The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East event will be run Saturday, Sept. 10 with the green flag scheduled for 5 p.m.
The change means that Chase Elliott won't be able to make a scheduled appearance in the CRA JEGS All-Star Tour race at Berlin Speedway that same day.
"Any time it rains at a race track it's no fun, especially when it causes you to miss a race somewhere else," Elliott said. "We were looking forward to going back to Berlin to race in our second JEGS event of the season. The fans there have been some of my biggest supporters, but we will be coming back to Greenville-Pickens to race K & N next Saturday because of points and are looking forward to that race as well."
