LAS VEGAS - Robert Hight roared to his second win of the season in his Funny Car on Sunday at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, giving John Force Racing its fifth consecutive victory dating to last season.
Hight used a 4.149-second run at 307.79 mph to edge Johnny Gray, who posted a 4.169 at 301.81 at the SummitRacing.com NHRA Nationals. Hight also won the Winternationals, while Force won two races to close last season and teammate Mike Neff won the Gatornationals last month.
Antron Brown won the Top Fuel final, defeating Brandon Bernstein for his 26th career victory. Brown posted a 3.887-second run at 318.84 mph, while Bernstein had a 3.947 at 311.13.
Mike Edwards beat first-time finalist Vincent Nobile in Pro Stock, running 6.695 at 205.98 for his 29th career win. Nobile finished in 6.713 at 205.69.
