Road-Weary Johnson Happy To Celebrate Lowe's Deal

DALLAS (AP) - If Jimmie Johnson is feeling a little road weary on his Daytona 500 victory tour, maybe a Lowe's pep rally will help.

There was double cause for celebration Wednesday night in Las Vegas after Johnson's Hendrick Motorsports No. 48 team announced a two-year extension with the only primary sponsor Johnson has ever had.

Johnson tells The Associated Press he was looking forward to gathering with about 5,000 Lowe's store managers because "they treat me like Elvis."

Therefore, it was worth it for the five-time Sprint Cup champion to be in his fourth state and third time zone since winning his second Daytona 500 on Sunday.

He hasn't had much sleep, and he still has to race this weekend in Phoenix - twice.
