ATHENS, GA - Donte' Williams scored 17 points to lead Georgia to a 72-61 lead over South Dakota State on Wednesday night.
South Dakota State led by seven points in each half and was tied as late as 14:09 to play. But Georgia's (3-0) Nemanja Djurisic came off the bench to score 12 of his 14 points in the second half as the Bulldogs pulled away.
Georgia also got 15 points from Gerald Robinson and 14 from Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. Nate Wolters scored 15 to lead the Jackrabbits (1-2) and
Taevaunn Prince added 13.
Both teams started off shooting poorly, and South Dakota State never warmed up from the line, hitting just 12 of 23 free throws.
Georgia now plays California on Nov. 21 in Kansas City in the next round of the Progressive CBE Classic. South Dakota State comes back to Georgia on Nov. 21 to play Niagara in Macon.
