FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) - Atlanta Falcons cornerback Asante Samuel expects more balls to be thrown his way by former New England teammate Tom Brady.
Samuel was rarely tested in Sunday's loss at Miami, but says, "I'm sure my boy Brady will come at me" when Atlanta hosts the Patriots Sunday night.
Samuel spent his first five NFL seasons with the Patriots. He says he and Brady have had many battles and that Brady "loves to be great, I love to be great. What better competition is there than that?"
Samuel was drafted by the Patriots in 2003, and won two Super Bowls while in New England through the '07 season. Brady hasn't forgotten him.
The Patriots QB says Samuel is "a dynamic playmaker ... I've thrown more interceptions to Asante than probably anybody."
