ATLANTA - One of the Atlanta Thrashers' lead owners says talks are continuing with two potential buyers who would keep the team in Atlanta.
Bruce Levenson told The Associated Press on Thursday interest in the team received a boost from last month's announcement by another co-owner, Michael Gearon Jr., that there was a "sense of urgency" in the search if the team is to remain in Atlanta.
Levenson says there are ongoing talks with two possible buyers. He says there have been no discussions with a third entity for a couple of weeks.
He says the owners have talked only with potential buyers who want to keep the team in Atlanta.
