VIERA, FL - Tommy Hanson pitched three hitless innings and the Atlanta Braves held the Washington Nationals to just two hits in a 5-0 victory on Sunday.
Hanson, the Braves' projected No. 4 starter, allowed only one walk while striking out one. Nationals starter Ross Detwiler also had an impressive outing, giving up one unearned run in three innings. He struck out five, including the final four he faced.
Chipper Jones had a hit and scored for Atlanta. Jason Heyward got a hit, was hit by a pitch and walked. Wilkin Ramirez added a two-run single in the eighth for the Braves. Bryce Harper, the No. 1 pick in last year's amateur draft, lined out in his only at-bat for Washington.
