CONYERS, Georgia (AP) - Rockdale County sheriff's officials say a deputy accused in a DUI crash that injured two people has resigned.
Chief Deputy Scott Freeman told sources on Monday that 27-year-old Frances Helen Farmer, of Conyers, was charged with DUI and failure to maintain lane in the crash.
Georgia State Patrol investigators say Farmer's car veered from the road and hit several trees. Two passengers in the woman's truck were taken to the Atlanta Medical Center.
Farmer was taken to the Rockdale County Jail Saturday afternoon and posted bond. Freeman says she was put on administrative leave before she resigned on Sunday.
