ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta fire officials say they're investigating the cause of a blaze that prompted the evacuation of a Midtown hotel.
Atlanta Fire Rescue spokeswoman Janet Ward says a fire in a parking lot attached to a hotel on 11th and Peachtree on Thursday afternoon was confined to two cars and has been extinguished.
The building was evacuated and Ward says authorities are testing the hotel for carbon monoxide exposure. Ward says occupants will be allowed to return after firefighters clear the building.
Authorities are unsure of what caused the fire and Ward says no injuries were reported.
Fire officials asked drivers and pedestrians to avoid the area.
