ATLANTA (AP) - The relatives of a U.S. Army soldier who was fatally shot on a bike path called on community members at a candle light vigil to put an end to violence and petty crime.
Atlanta police say 21-year-old Xavier Arnold was fatally shot Thursday in the Kirkwood neighborhood. Police have said a second man was wounded in his leg, and the shooter's motive was likely robbery.
A candle light vigil was held Saturday night near the place where Arnold was shot. Arnold wanted to design comics and was on his way to take photos of a graffiti artist he admired when he was shot.
Police have arrested a juvenile in Arnold's death and say they're searching for a second suspect.
