ATLANTA (AP) - The Metro Atlanta Chamber has elected Arby's Restaurant Group President Hala Moddelmog as its new president. Chamber officials say Moddelmog, a Georgia native, will begin her new role Jan. 6. In a release, Moddelmog said Atlanta is poised for success with "its diverse economy, global access, abundant talent and low costs of business and lifestyle."
Moddelmog served as the president of Arby's Restaurant Group between 2010 and 2013. She was also president and CEO of Susan G. Komen for Cure between 2006 and 2009. The organization has also chosen Cousins Properties Incorporated CEO Lawrence Gellerstedt III as the group's 2015 chair-elect. Sun Trust Bank Georgia Division President E. Jenner Wood will serve as 2011 chair-elect. The Metro Atlanta Chamber represents more than 4,000 member companies in the region.
