ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta police say a toddler who was the subject of a child abduction alert has been found safe and a woman asked to watch the young girl has been arrested.
Eighteen-month-old Guadalupe Aguayo was reported missing late Thursday by her father who said he had left her in the care of his roommate's girlfriend while at work. Police say the young girl was located by law enforcement officers just after 7 a.m. Friday with the girlfriend, who was identified as Claudia Rodriguez.
Police spokeswoman Officer Kim Jones says Rodriguez has been arrested and faces charges of interference with custody and kidnapping. Jones says Rodriguez was taken to the Fulton County jail.
