KENNESAW, Georgia (AP) - Cobb County police say two lanes of Interstate 75 northbound have reopened after a crash involving seven vehicles in suburban Atlanta.
Department spokesman Mike Bowman says one person was killed in the crash Thursday afternoon and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
Information on the identity of the person who was killed wasn't immediately available.
The fiery accident temporarily caused all lanes of the highway to be closed just ahead of rush hour traffic.
The accident led to backups throughout the area and footage from local television stations showed a disabled semi-truck lying in an embankment on the side of the highway.
