ATLANTA (AP) - A report shows Georgia revenues totaled $1.46 billion in October, an increase of nearly 6 percent over the same month a year ago.
Gov. Nathan Deal said Friday that both individual and corporate income tax collections were up. Most noticeably, corporate income tax collections increased roughly $34.5 million last month compared to October 2012.
Gross sales tax collections declined $25.5 million compared to last year. The governor's office noted the collections had been reduced while motor vehicle fees have increased under the system that replaced the old birthday car tax.
