MARIETTA, Georgia. (AP) - Cobb County District Attorney's officials say a man has been sentenced to life in prison for killing a woman who helped him during his divorce.
District Attorney's spokeswoman Kim Isaza said Tuesday that 66-year-old Dennis Robert Bredar pleaded guilty in the death of 49-year-old Rhonda Kay Callihan.
Isaza says Callihan allowed Bredar, her neighbor, move in as a roommate while he was going through a divorce. Officials say the two had been neighbors for about 25 years.
Investigators say Bredar told authorities he argued with Callihan over nothing before he shot her several times with a revolver.
