ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta's Office of International Affairs is welcoming a corporate delegation from Brazil.
City officials say Brazilian business leaders will visit Atlanta Thursday morning. The visit is part of a larger effort to expand Atlanta's business identity internationally.
The event is being hosted at the Brazilian Consulate General Office at the One Alliance Center in Atlanta's Buckhead neighborhood.
Officials say Brazilian information and technology firms will meet with local companies for networking sessions.
City officials say Atlanta is home to about 6,000 Brazilian residents and companies that are affiliated with the country employ more than 5,000 people in the state.
