SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Police in costal Georgia say an emergency dispatcher has been killed in a car crash.
Savannah Chatham Metropolitan police spokesman Julian Miller said in a release that 23-year-old Keri Clark of Lakeland died when she rear ended a stopped Chatham County truck Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the 53-year-old truck driver was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Miller says the truck's emergency lights and directional arrows were illuminated and operating at the time of the crash.
Miller says Clark was the county's 2013 EMS Dispatcher of the Year, and had worked in the communications department for two years.
