ATLANTA (AP) - A house fire investigation in Fulton County has turned into a drug investigation.
The house on Hobgood Road caught fire Saturday night. Two people were injured and taken to an Atlanta hospital. Fulton County Police said they called in federal and state agencies after finding suspicious items in the yard that indicated drug activity. Investigators from six different agencies were at the home Monday and they reported finding components of a lab for making phencyclidine, which is also known as PCP or angel dust.
Neighbors expressed concerns about their safety. But police said the Fulton County Hazardous Materials Team conducted air quality samplings and found the area safe.
