ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta police say two men smashed a display case at a department store and stole about $30,000 worth of jewelry.
Police spokesman John Chafee says the men walked in to a Belk store at Phipps Plaza in Buckhead Wednesday morning and used hammers to smash the display case. Chafee says the men took a tray of diamond earrings and fled the scene.
A description of the suspects and additional information on the incident was not immediately available.
Chafee says officials are working to gather surveillance footage to try identifying the suspects.
