DUNWOODY, Georgia (AP) - Police in suburban Atlanta have arrested a man after a police-involved shooting in a parking lot.
Dunwoody police spokesman Timothy Fecht says 20-year-old Robert Goodman ran from officers who were trying to pull him over Friday afternoon. Police were investigating a report of a stolen car. Fecht says Goodman tried fleeing from officers and hit two cars and two police cruisers before driving toward an officer. The fired at the man and he was eventually taken into custody. Police say no one was injured.
Fecht says Goodman is charged with theft by receiving, aggravated assault against a police officer, aggravated assault, hit and run, damage to government property and two counts of possession of a tool used in the commission of a crime.
Dunwoody is just north of Atlanta.
