SAVANNAH, Georgia (AP) - Two men accused in a robbery that led to a standoff in Savannah's Olde Pink House restaurant have been sentenced.
Brian Jones has been sentenced to life in prison for a home invasion that led to the restaurant standoff. His accomplice, Kevin Brooks, was sentenced to 30-years without parole on armed robbery and burglary charges.
A SWAT team was called to the restaurant in May after authorities said a gunman jumped from a Jaguar and barricaded himself inside the business. Eventually 24-year-old Jones and 25-year-old Brooks were taken into custody. The men were convicted in February and were acquitted of aggravated assault charges.
