Firefighters Work To Control Georgia Apartment Blaze
FAYETTEVILLE, Georgia (AP) - Firefighters are working to contain a blaze at an apartment complex about 25 miles south of downtown Atlanta.
A resident of the complex, Kathleen Rojas, tells sources she threw her daughter to safety from a window while firefighters worked to control the blaze Thursday afternoon. Rojas says apartment maintenance worker caught the girl and she jumped from the building afterward.
Authorities are unsure of what caused the fire and no injuries have been reported.
