SPRINGFIELD, Ga. (AP) - A woman accused of renting a storage facility where the remains of a dismembered man were found has been release from the Effingham County Jail on $27,700 bond.
Sources report 40-year-old Kimberly Moretz is free after posting bond Tuesday. She and her brother, 38-year-old Kevin Lambert, were arrested in mid-January on charges of concealing a death, tampering with evidence and hindering the prosecution of a criminal.
Moretz's husband, Chad, is accused of fatally stabbing and dismembering 35-year-old Charlie Ray, who had been reported missing. Police said they found some of Ray's body parts in Moretz's house in Rincon and in a storage unit in South Carolina they say was rented in Kimberly Moretz's name.
Police have not established a motive in the slaying.
