ATLANTA (AP) - The trial for a man accused of fatally shooting a woman in a Midtown Atlanta parking garage and wounding two others began with the surviving victims recounting the July 2011 incident.

It has been reported that Lauren Garcia, who was paralyzed in the shooting, and Tiffany Ferenczy, who was shot in her leg, testified Tuesday against 23-year-old Nkosi Thandiwe, a former security guard.

Authorities have said after Watts was shot, Thandiwe fled the scene in her car and fired at Garcia and Ferenczy before leaving the garage.

Prosecutors say Thandiwe doesn't know the women and the motive behind the shooting is unclear.

Thandiwe has pleaded innocent to murder, aggravated assault, aggravated battery and weapons offenses. Public defender Chris Bryant asked the jury not to jump to conclusions about Thandiwe.
