NORCROSS, Georgia (AP) - Officials in Gwinnett County say a fire tore through a restaurant and left the building on the verge of collapsing.
The fire was reported around 5:20 p.m. at Dreamland Bar-B-Que on Peachtree Parkway in Norcross. Authorities say the manager of the restaurant called saying there was smoke coming from the attic.
When firefighters arrived, officials said smoke was billowing throughout the business and flames began burning through the roof of the building.
Authorities say the fire caused the center of the roof to eventually cave in and one of the walls was severely damaged. Officials say the structural integrity of the building was compromised and there is a possibility it could collapse.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire and there were no reported injuries.
