SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - A man shot at a fair in Savannah is recounting his ordeal, and looking ahead to life with a bullet in his chest. Doctors have told 19-year-old Marquis Mason that surgery to remove the bullet would be too risky. Mason was among eight people injured when gunfire erupted at the Coastal Empire Fair in Savannah Nov. 3. Several suspects are facing charges in connection with the gunfire.

For Mason, the wound is life-altering. He will have to limit the weightlifting and exercise he once enjoyed. He will need to carry a card explaining to airport security he has metal in his body. If he ever needs an MRI, there is a medical risk the magnets could shift the bullet.
