New Industrial Center Planned In Eastern Georgia
RICHMOND HILL, Ga. (AP) - Officials in Bryan County are celebrating an industrial development slated to bring nearly 2,600 new jobs to the area in eastern Georgia.
Officials broke ground for the Belfast Commerce Center, where new warehouses will be built to store goods being shipped from Georgia's ports.
Officials say new jobs will be created in the trucking, construction and manufacturing industries and the 1,100-acre industrial park will be aligned with CSX freight rail service.
Officials say construction will begin immediately, and the site will be completed in the next 10 to 15 years.
