House Fire Claims 2 Lives In Northeast Georgia
ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Authorities are investigating the cause of a house fire that claimed the lives of a woman and her adult son. Fire officials tell sources that the bodies of the 84-year-old woman and the 54-year-old man were found shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday.
Authorities say the bodies were found as Athens-Clarke County firefighters searched the burning home just east of downtown Athens. Few other details were available early Friday.
