LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say a co-founder of a science fiction convention will likely be extradited to Georgia by Christmas on child molestation charges. Edward W. Kramer, co-founder of DragonCon, was arrested on molestation charges in Connecticut.

In August of 2000, he was charged with molestation in Gwinnett County, but was declared unfit to stand trial because of a spinal condition. The charges have been pending since then. Kramer was put on house arrest and was ordered to have no contact with children under 16 years old. A judge in 2008 granted him permission to travel. In September, officials found Kramer in a Connecticut motel room with a 14-year-old boy. Authorities in Georgia will evaluate Kramer's health and determine if he is fit to stand trial.
