Man Killed Trying To Cross Busy Georgia Street

ATLANTA (AP) - Police say a 24-year-old man is dead after he was hit by several vehicles while trying to cross a busy highway in south Fulton County.
Fulton police Cpl. Kay Lester said the incident happened about 3 a.m. Monday. Police said the man was hit by a van, a pickup truck, an SUV and an 18-wheeler.
Police said all of the vehicles stopped and stayed at the scene while police investigated.
The victim's name was not released.
The incident shut down the roadway for more than three hours.
