SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) - Police have made a second arrest in the beating death of a woman outside a California nightclub. Authorities announced Friday that a 27-year-old Santa Ana woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder. Her name wasn't released.
Police say they believe three women beat and kicked 23-year-old Annie "Kim" Pham, of Westminster, during an argument Saturday outside of The Crosby nightclub in Santa Ana. She never regained consciousness and was taken off life support Tuesday. Coroner's officials say she died from head trauma. A 25-year-old Santa Ana resident, Vanesa Zavala, pleaded not guilty to murder Wednesday. Police say they're seeking a third woman. Investigators also had been seeking two men but now say they don't think the men were involved in the attack.
