"I want to cry, I really do. I want to go in a corner and cry," said Nick Garulay, owner of Ambassador Auto Sales.
The dealership told police that a customer, identified by an Oklahoma driver's license as Justin William Durbin, expressed interest in purchasing a vehicle on Monday.
Durbin stated he was going to speak to his father, "Tom."
That evening, "Tom" contacted the sales consultant, Garrett Ryan Rick, and told him that his son would be interested in purchasing the Bentley.
On Tuesday, Durbin returned to the dealership and inspected the vehicle.
He then told Rick he was going to pick up a check from Chase Bank and set up a meeting with him for later that day.
Durbin and Rick met in Naples.
Durbin stated that his father, "Tom," was upstairs in an attorney's office for a meeting, and he began to look over the vehicle.
"To show or display a vehicle, we'll go wherever we need to go," Garulay said.
While Rick was outside of the vehicle, Durbin entered the car and drove away without permission, or payment.
"He took off - gone," said Garulay.
Rick stated that he waited for approximately ten minutes, assuming that Durbin was taking the vehicle for a test drive.
When Durbin did not return, Rick called his cell phone, but it went to voicemail.
Rick also called "Tom" on his cell phone, but also received no answer.
Rick waited approximately one hour, and then called the Naples Police Department and reported the vehicle stolen.
The vehicle did not have a GPS or tracking device.
Durbin has also been seen driving a red 2011 Mercedes-Benz GLK 250 SUV.
A copy of his Oklahoma driver's license, the sales form, and a vehicle photograph were taken as evidence.
Lt. John Barkley, with Naples Police, says it is believed that the suspect has done this before in Missouri and in Illinois.
"Well, I'm sure he's enjoying himself. But his joyride is going to come to a screeching halt soon," he said.
Naples Police detectives are working with agencies in other states to try to piece together a lead, but they say this kind of crime is rare and in Naples, the model of car kind of fits right in.
"You really wouldn't turn your head too much if you saw a Bentley driving down the street in Naples," Barkley said.
Garulay says the worst part about the theft is that he had another buyer lined up for the same car.
He says he just hoped insurance will cover his losses.
