Two Barrels Of Human Remains Found In South Carolina Lake

ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) - A pair of bodies has been found stuffed in barrels in a South Carolina lake and authorities believe it could be two people who have been missing for a month. The first plastic barrel was found on the shore of Lake Hartwell on Wednesday with a woman's body inside.

Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore said another metal barrel with a man's body inside was found nearby. Investigators believe the body could be a man who has been missing for a month, but they were waiting on an autopsy to confirm his identity and a cause of death. The woman has been identified, but her name has not been released because all her family has not been notified. She hadn't been seen for more than 30 days. No arrests have been made.
