Big Business for Hallmark and Russell Stover on Valentine's Day

The story of greeting cards and chocolates on Valentine's Day is the same all over the county; Stores are packed with people trying to find the perfect way to show their love.
In Kansas City, the story's a little different because two of the major holiday money makers are based right there, and all of the shopping means sweet success.
Hallmark and Russell Stover are two local companies that have played a huge part in Valentine's Day for decades.
Hallmark is now 101 years old, and sells billions of dollars in cards and merchandise each year.
Russell Stover started in 1923 and has grown into the largest producer of fine boxed chocolates in the United States.
It looks like Cupid will be busy this year.
According to the National Retail Federation American's will spend over $14 billion this holiday.
That's about $103.00 on average per person for traditional Valentine's Day purchases.
