River Edge Behavioral Health Center has teamed up with HUD and the city of Macon,to give homes to families in need this Holiday Season. Mayor Robert Richert and city leaders were on hand for the unveiling of a newly renovated home in east Macon. Vandals have broken into the home several times. River Edge Behavioral Health Center became aware the city had some homes that have been vandalized due to being vacant and wanted to help. The health center has 4 houses in Macon that they are working to revitalize. Not too far from this home on Maynard Street , Tracy weekly and her family moved into their new home last Friday.
"Today means a lot to me because if it wasn't for the city of Macon and river edge coming together and building these houses, there would be some families that wouldn't have a place to eat or a place to sleep for Thanksgiving or Christmas", said Tracy Weekly.
