The Houston County District attorney says he will pursue the death penalty for Richard Sybert.
Sybert is accused of killing Joni Clements last February. She was shot inside her home in Warner Robins. Houston County District Attorney George Hartwig says the grand jury found the case may have been murder-for-hire.
Sybert's son, Robert, and Clements' husband, James, are also charged for her murder. In addition, they all face the following charges: Malice Murder & Felony Murder (2 counts), Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Burglary, Aggravated Battery & Aggravated Assault, Kidnapping with Bodily Injury, Possession of Firearm During a Crime (4 counts), Use of a Sawed-off Rifle to Commit Murder, and Use of a Firearm with Silencer to Commit Murder.
They all will be in court for arraignment next Wednesday.
