Tonight, students at Jeffersonville Elementary are putting their brains to work outside the classroom.
From rocks and fossils, to learning how evaporation works, the kids had projects to prove their smarts. The second annual science fair brought children in first through fourth grade out for the academic competition. The participants came out with home-grown experiments in hopes of landing first prize.
"It's been a great thing for students to get involved in something this important," says Michelle Capece, Connections Exploratory Teacher.
Capece says she was impressed by the creativity of the all the students this year.
