10 furry friends of Macon Animal Control could have a new home just in time for the New Year.
After a generous donation to Macon Animal Control, 10 dogs can be adopted for free. Mallory Jones gave $750 to MAC which covers the adoption charges for the dogs. The interim director of Macon Animal Control says this is a great way to ring in the New Year.
"These are ten animals that now of course have been spared euthanasia and will go to good loving homes. It's a great way to end the year and a fantastic way to kick start 2012 for the shelter," said Van VanDeWalker, Interim Director of Macon Animal Control.
The dogs will be spayed and neutered, given initial shots and will be groomed. Anyone interested in adopting a free friend can call Macon Animal Control at (478) 751-9200.
