Tonight, three councilman say goodbye to serving the city of Warner Robins.
Tom Simms, Bob Wilbanks, and John Williams sat in the council chamber for the last time. All three men served one term as members of council.
"I'm just going to be doing more things in a different way, and still for the citizens of Warner Robins," says Simms.
They say despite the ups and downs, they have a lot to be proud of.
"If the new council coming on will just follow the pattern we've laid, pick up where we've left off, and go right on with the same programs, I think you'll see progress in the city," says Williams.
Their accomplishments include breaking ground on the new law enforcement center, setting aside money for the sports complex,
and in their last minutes on council, voting to pass the implementation of the city employee pay study.
"Hopefully we've lived up to them. I went to sleep every night knowing that I did everything I could do for the city of Warner Robins," says Wilbanks.
All three men say they're not ruling politics out in the future. The new council members will be sworn in at city hall next week on Thursday, December 29th at 4pm.
