The Museum of Aviation unveiled its Tuskegee Airmen exhibit today. 84-year-old Tuskegee Airman, Leroy Eley was at the grand opening. Eley spent most of his life flying airplanes and teaching people how to fly. Eley was only 17 years old when he volunteered for the U.S Army Air Forces in 1943. While flying in 1949, Eley crashed.
"I didn't get a scratch. The airplane was totaled and I should have died. On the way down to the ground I knew I was going to die" said Eley.
Eley who now lives in Atlanta, retired from the F-A-A in 1990.
